A Feast of Fun, Food, Art,

Music, Heritage & Entertainment

The Crab and Lobster Festival is a weekend celebration of two lovely coastal towns, Cromer and Sheringham. Historically great rivals, but now joining together as two of Norfolk's premier seaside destinations. The Festival raises money for local charities, and benefits the local economy by attracting more visitors to this wonderful part of the world. It is organised by a diverse group of people who live and work here, helping to foster a real sense of community... and fun!

2013 is our 4th festival, and each year we're getting bigger and better, creating a truly enjoyable event for all our visitors and locals alike.

This year's trail will run for 5 months, it's a vital part of the Festival, not only involving hundreds of people creatively, but also establishing a fascinating trail around the towns. Fund raising from the trail is key to our survival, and a great boost for some local charities too.

Heritage Demonstrations

Cromer and Sheringham's crab and lobster fishing industries have supplied England with a rich abundance of crustacea since the early 19th Century, and today they still offer a delicious and sustainable harvest from the sea. Historic rivalries are set aside as the two towns unite for a fabulous fun-filled series of events, competitions and entertainment.

The Festival Team

The Festival's team of volunteers from both towns aim to make each Crab & Lobster Festival a successful, memorable, fun, entertaining and informative weekend. It's such a wonderful way to get together and celebrate our way of life here... and a great opportunity to encourage visitors to come along and enjoy what we have to offer during the early part of the season.
