Welcome to our first Crab & Lobster Festival

This first Crab & Lobster Festival is part of the joint marketing of Sheringham and Cromer - the unrivalled combination of North Norfolk's premier seaside towns.

The aim of the Festival is to involve people who live and work here, helping foster a real sense of community (and fun), raise money for the local RNLI stations and Help for Heroes, and benefit local businesses by attracting more visitors to this wonderful part of North Norfolk.

Promoted by the two Town Councils, the Festival cannot succeed without support from sponsors, visitors, and above all the people who live and work in the two towns.

Our Founding Sponsor is the Cromer Crab Company - celebrating its 30th anniversary as a major local employer - while Marks & Spencer and Waitrose are co-sponsoring the Food Demonstrations and Tesco is sponsoring the Crustacea Crawl.

The Bittern Line is sponsoring the first World Pier Crabbing Championship on Cromer Pier on Sunday 23 May, supported by Gone Crabbing; Woodforde's Brewery are brewing a special Festival Ale; and other local firms and individuals are providing generous support - not least sponsoring more than 70 lobsters and crabs for the Crustacea Crawl Sculpture Trail.

Last but very much not least, a team of volunteers from both towns have been working hard to make this all happen. We hope we have done everything we can to make our inaugural Crab & Lobster Festival informative, entertaining, memorable, and above all a fun Festival. Cheers!
